Dough:
250g all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp instant dry yeast
3 tbsp butter, melted.
1 large egg, room temperature, whisk & take 1 tbsp for egg wash.
125ml of warm milk
Toppings:
8 pieces of small sausages, slashed on top.
Toasted bread crumbs + mayonnaise as needed.
Baking time: 20 - 25 minutes preheated oven.
Baking temperature: 180°C
Preheat the oven for about 10 minutes before baking, an oven may vary.
My recipe measurements:
all-purpose flour 125 grams for each cup
milk 250 ml for each cup
Please use it accordingly as the given recipe.
Methods:
- In a mixing bowl, put all the dough ingredients and mix them well. Use a strong spoon for 5 minutes or use a mixer for 3 minutes.
- The dough should be very soft and sticky. If your dough is too dry, please add milk.
- Cover and rest for 90 minutes. After that, use little flour to shape the dough into a ball. Handle gently and lightly.
- Divide into 8 pieces and shape into balls. Flatten each dough into a disc and make a little slit in the middle.
- Place a piece of sausage on the dough slit. The sausage sits nicely & won't move away during the baking.
- Cover for 30 minutes and then apply the egg.
- Sprinkle bread crumbs on top and drizzle with mayonnaise as needed.
- Bake for 20 -25 minutes at 180°C preheated oven
- Serve warm or room temperature.
